Rear Suspension and Fuel Tank

Well, the rear end is in and the entire fuel system is completed. The lines from the engine bay to the tank, the tank itself, the sending unit and the neck assembly are all in! The entire undercarriage is complete except for shocks. The time that was taken with the details of the restoration of the chassis have been well spent and it is now ready for the engine.

While I have been waiting on H&H Engines to hot tank, magniflux and check out the block and heads, I have started collecting the correctly numbered parts for the engine. I have found a correct 4150 Holley 780 cfm carb, a correct 6223 crank, a 3856284 coded water pump and have picked up several parts for the motor including bearings, oil pan, bolt kit, correct coded head bolts, Fuel pump and pushrod and several other parts that sit in waiting of the finished block.

GOOD NEWS!!!

I tanked to Steve at H&H today and he broke the news to me - The block and heads are in great shape! That is a reliefe since they are all older than I am! So now we get to work with the machine work and install the crank, stock rods, new bearings, a Comp Cams 11-671-4 Nostalgia cam, 10.1 pop-up pistons, a double roller timing chain and a high volume oil pump. I will keep everyone posted with the updates as it is assembled.
