Engine Complete and Running
I finished installing the last details onto the motor. The 780cfm cholley carb from an original L72 motor was shipped back to me from Vintage Musclecar Parts. Eric did a fantastic job on it and I am extremely impressed with his work. I hooked up the throttle linkage, PVC hose and primed the oil pump, bringing the engine up to around 50psi oil pressure for about a minute. I then re-installed the distributor and eyballed it to a decent starting place for initial timing.
After topping off the water, and priming the fuel line with the 100 octane fuel that I poured in, I decided to crank the motor to see if I could get fuel into the carb. After about 10 seconds of cranking - VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
The engine started right up. The car is now running and starts right up, even befire U tune it and it sounds GOOD! In fact - here is a video of me calling my brother to let him hear it.
