Subframe and steering linkage

Upon inspection after the car's return from the Body Shop, it was noticed that there was a huge chunk out of the bottom of the subframe. This would not be a problem if it were a driver only but since this car is being built to sell at auction, one roll over the "Chassis Cam" at Barrett-Jackson and it would quickly become an issue! So a new subframe was ordered from Jimmy's Bowtie and then it was powdercoated at AZ Powdercoating along with the Control Arms. They did a GREAT job.

Installing and aligning the subframe was tricky as it has to line it up with pins on the body - not very accurate. Then the steering box was restored and repainted, along with the steering linkage and then the entire steering system was re-installed. The steering column was a brand new reproduction from Ground Up along with a new pedal bracket because the last owner snapped off the brake light switch bracket on the unit. Following this work, the Master Cylinder was installed. It was then noticed that one of the suppliers, in addition to many other parts, left the proporationing valve and bracket out of the order. After a quick call, they sent it out.
