Heater and Pedal Assy Done Well I managed to get the Heater box, the core, the firewall cover and the blower motor in. I also installed the firewall pad, which was actually what made everything so hard. If you have ever installed one of these you know what I am talking about! The extra thickness of the padding makes it really difficult to line up bolt holes and what-not but in the end, everything looks great! The Heater controls and cables were also installed along with the defroster ducting and vents. I also installed the brake and clutch pedal assembly. I had to ream out the hole for the master cylinder shaft pin but all is perfect now. I cleaned things up a bit. It has been very frustrating working in the garage since the dust keeps comig in. I need to find a way to seal it and things will improve. The heat has been brutal too - there have been 32 days of 110 plus heat this summer - UGH! Here are some pictures of the work. So now I am waiting on the rear end. Once the CFO releases the funds for that, I have a pile O parts ready to go on: Emergency brake assy, rear brakes, fuel system, rear suspension, etc... So for now, I'll just keep an eye out for my block. I bought some '67 840 (rect port) heads a couple of weeks ago and they are to be delivered today! Stay tuned! Email Bill |
